Jeffrey K. Peterson
Archives Technician, Library
  • B.A., Gallaudet University, History, 2007

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Jeffrey K. Peterson is a native of the Southern California desert and is the very proud owner of a Cochlear Implant. When he became late-deafened at the age of 20 his aunt, an English teacher at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside, informed him of Gallaudet University. He promptly made the trip across the country and enrolled in 2003. During his four years at Gallaudet, Jeffrey was magna cum laude and made dean's list every semester. After struggling with the decision of which major to focus on, two professors in the History Department ignited his passion for history. Following graduation from Gallaudet University in May 2007 with his BA in History, he briefly worked with the National Park Service in South Dakota. Jeffrey is now back at Gallaudet and a proud member of the Gallaudet Archives team.
