Copy services
Near the first floor Service Desk, the Library has:
- two photocopiers
- three microform reader/printers
Copy cards
To make copies, you must buy a copy card. When you are finished using your card, keep it. You may add value to it later. Sign the back of it. If you lose your card and someone finds it, we will keep it for you at the Service Desk Lost and Found.
To buy a card with cash
The card vending machine is next to the copiers. The machine accepts $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills. Each card costs 50 cents. Each copy costs 10 cents. The cost of the card is automatically deducted from the card value. Examples:
- if you use $1, you can make five copies
- if you use $2, you can make 15 copies
Insert your cash into the machine and push the red button.
To add value to your card with cash
Insert your card and cash into the machine and push the red button. The card has already been paid for, so no value is deducted. Example:
- if you add $1, you can make 10 additional copies
To buy or add value with funds from a Gallaudet University department
- Complete an Interdepartmental Invoice. Credit to:
- Department: Reprographic Services
- Expense Account: 4500
- Take it to the Service Desk
To make copies
Insert your card into the card reader attached to the machine you wish to use. The reader shows how much value is on the card, and deducts value each time you make a copy.
If you need help, ask at the Service Desk.
