Check Consortium Loan Service (CLS) Book and Journal Article Requests

  1. Go to MyALADIN.
  2. Type your last name and library barcode (22884 ...) or Gallaudet ID number. Open the drop-down menu next to "Institution" and select "Gallaudet." Click "OK."
  3. On the next screen, "CLS - Consortium Loan Services" shows how many requests you have made and their status. If there are several requests, click "View All" to see a complete list. To see specific information about each request, click an item's title or "More." Here is an explanation of each status:
    • "Available at Library" --
      1. if the item is a book, it has arrived and is ready for you to pick up at the Library service desk.
      1. if the item is an article, is probably online. To download it, click "Web Documents." If it is not online, you may pick it up at the Library service desk.
    • "En Route" -- the lending library has sent the item but it has not yet arrived. It usually takes 24-48 hours for an item to arrive after it has been sent.
    • "Requested" -- the lending library is still working on your request and has not yet sent it. Check again later to see if the status changes to "Available," "En Route," or "Unavailable."
    • "Unavailable at XX Library" -- the owning library cannot fill your request. If possible, your request will be forwarded to another Consortium library. If you have any questions, ask a librarian. A librarian may help you request the item from a library outside the Consortium or find substitute information sources.
  4. Logout of "myALADIN" by clicking "Logout" at the top of the screen.
