Check Consortium Loan Service (CLS) Book and Journal Article Requests
- Go to MyALADIN.
- Type your last name and library barcode (22884 ...) or Gallaudet ID number. Open the drop-down menu next to "Institution" and select "Gallaudet." Click "OK."
- On the next screen, "CLS - Consortium Loan Services" shows how many requests you have made and their status. If there are several requests, click "View All" to see a complete list. To see specific information about each request, click an item's title or "More." Here is an explanation of each status:
- "Available at Library" --
- if the item is a book, it has arrived and is ready for you to pick up at the Library service desk.
- if the item is an article, is probably online. To download it, click "Web Documents." If it is not online, you may pick it up at the Library service desk.
- "En Route" -- the lending library has sent the item but it has not yet arrived. It usually takes 24-48 hours for an item to arrive after it has been sent.
- "Requested" -- the lending library is still working on your request and has not yet sent it. Check again later to see if the status changes to "Available," "En Route," or "Unavailable."
- "Unavailable at XX Library" -- the owning library cannot fill your request. If possible, your request will be forwarded to another Consortium library. If you have any questions, ask a librarian. A librarian may help you request the item from a library outside the Consortium or find substitute information sources.
- "Available at Library" --
- Logout of "myALADIN" by clicking "Logout" at the top of the screen.
