How to ... get a book from a WRLC library

If Gallaudet does not have a book you need, you may request it from another member of the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC): You may not request books that are available at Gallaudet unless they are checked out, lost, or missing.

To request a book:

  1. Find the book you want in the ALADIN Catalog.

  2. Make sure that the book shows Any other location and status information means that the book cannot be sent and your request will not be filled.

EXCEPTIONS: This information is not available for materials from George Mason (GM) or Georgetown (GT). Just proceed to the next step.

  3. Click the link "Request through Consortium Loan Services (CLS)" .

  4. On the next screen,

  5. In the “University ID” box, type the number you entered when you logged in..

  6. Click “Submit Request.”

  7. To get an email notice when the book arrives, click on the myALADIN tab at the top of the screen and make sure your email address is correct. If not, click "edit" and enter the correct email address.
